Snow!

Peter experiencing snow for the first time. We did try to put mittens on Peter but he would not have it. Don't worry, we weren't out very long.

He didn't seem to like it too well.
The maintenance men pushed all the snow from the street into our front yard. So we climbed on top.

10 months old!

The poor little guy doesn't feel good.

These shots were taken with the webcam that Grandpa gave us.

Stomach flu

These pictures are the results of the first signs of the stomach flu in our home (on Saturday morning). Peter is here anxiously waiting for me to get him new clothes.
It caught up to me on Sunday night, but I'm starting to feel better. Hopefully it bypasses Jake.
Round 1
Round 2
(Other events of the day were not captured, due to clean-up time and a sad little boy.)

Aunt Alanna

Peter has an aunt that he's never met. Her name is Alanna. Alanna lived above me when I was living in the dorms at IU and became a very dear friend. Aunt Alanna is from Maryland and traded an IU education for the Duke version, and to be closer to her sweet family.
Peter got a few books in the mail a week or so ago. Alanna said they were some of her favorites as a girl.
Are You My Mother?, Dr. Seuss's ABC's, and Wacky Wednesday
We miss you! We wish you would come back to Indiana!
I told him it doesn't really work like that.

It was the holiday season...

The holiday season is now ending and I hope yours was bright and you were reminded of God's great mercy in providing a savior. Here are a few shots from our visits with family.

The big pink dog was once Kelly's. For some reason it's still hanging around Grammie and Grandpa's. Peter had a good time wrestling with it.

Christmas morning, playing with tractors with Uncle John.

A little bit later, playing with new toys.

After a long day, Peter's ready for a nap. Cuddling with Great Grandma Mentzel will do just fine.

Reading with Uncle John and Uncle Andy

Napping with Aunt Kelly.
We'll miss you while you're in LA!

Back home playing with Papa.

Happy New Year!
